Our Exceptional Staff:

Beth J. Jacobson, PT, ATC

Beth, the owner of Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center, is a physical therapist and athletic trainer with extensive experience and special training in orthopedics, sports medicine, obstetric physical therapy, fibromyalgia and chronic pain. She received her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and her physical therapy degree from University of Pennsylvania. She has been a practicing physical therapist for over 30 years and has taken over 100 continuing education courses to supplement her knowledge, including a five-year course of study with an osteopathic physician. She has given lectures on health-related topics in the community and on the radio. Her in-depth understanding of patient care comes from both clinical and personal experience.

Nancy Nelson, PT

Nancy graduated from California State Long Beach in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy. She began working immediately as an outpatient physical therapist specializing in orthopedics and sports physical therapy. She has continued to work in various physical therapy offices throughout San Diego County in this specialty. She has taken numerous continuing education courses since she began practicing.

Sheri Carrington, Office Manager

Sheri has worked in many facets of the health care field since 1970, including dentistry, the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps, and as a community college instructor for medical / dental office management. She has extensive experience dealing with most insurance companies (including Medicare, TRICARE and workers’ compensation) and enjoys managing our patients’ insurance needs. She is always available to answer any questions you may have regarding our office or insurance issues.

Celeste Jacobson-Ingram, Receptionist

Celeste works at the front desk assisting patients on Saturday mornings. She works hard to organize the office and help our patients. As a student, Celeste is very active in school activities, including gymnastics and theatre. She is also involved in Girl Scouts as a cadet member, studies piano and is the secretary of her youth group.
